C&E Will Limit Disruptions To Customers' Supply Chain Access During Materials Shortages

  • March 01, 2021

A letter from C&E Advanced Technologies VP Joel Braun:

March 1, 2021

We are reaching out to all Customers regarding a raw materials shortage within our industry and throughout all Suppliers at all levels.

We have been talking with various supply chain managers within our supplier base and most feel this is a short-term situation, but we are taking a very serious posture to address deliveries.  Currently in our industry we are seeing major shortages in the following areas:

  • Electronic IC’s and Asics Micro Chip components

  • Petroleum based products – particularly Polyurethane and PVC and many plastic resins

  • All Metals – but primarily aluminum body and casted products

  • Labor issues and logistics (Cargo container ships are stacked up at sea currently waiting for unload around several key US ports)

At this point raw materials are now being allocated within the supply chain and based upon forecasted data only.

During this period, C&E Advanced Technologies is working to boost our inventory levels. We would like to work more closely with you, our Customer, to meet any immediate or future product needs.  Through forecasting and better inventory controls, C&E is willing to help soften these impacts.  Please reach out to our Technical Consultants to arrange a consultation on how we can assist you in minimizing impacts to your production schedule.

We want to be better Partners for you.

Sincerely,

Joel Braun
